Armageddon Build & Paint Challenge
The fires of Armageddon are burning, and the armies of the far future need champions worthy of leading them into battle.
To celebrate the launch of the new edition of Warhammer, we're kicking off a month-long hobby challenge. Instead of racing against the clock, you'll have an entire month to build, paint, and perfect a single miniature worthy of the display cabinet.
This is not just a competition. It’s a month-long hobby event built to give you time, space, and motivation to finish a model you’re proud of.

Choose your path into the challenge:
🛒 $25 Entry (with purchase of a Warhammer model from Darkstone Comics)
⚔️ $50 Entry (bring your own eligible Warhammer model)
All entries include:
--Competition participation
--Free admission to all Build & Paint Workshops during the challenge (June 20, July 5, July 19)
--Secure display cabinet storage for your model
--Access to hobby tables throughout the month
--Eligibility for Darkstone Guild Point rewards

⚔️ The Challenge
Each participant selects one Warhammer model as their entry.
Your model must be:
🔨 Built during the event period at Darkstone Comics
🎨 Painted during the event period at Darkstone Comics
❌ No pre-assembled, pre-primed, or pre-painted models are allowed
Participants may work on their model whenever the store is open. Hobby tables will be available throughout the month so you can drop in, paint, learn, and progress alongside the Darkstone community.
Minor conversions and custom basing are welcome as long as the original model remains clearly recognizable.
🏛️ Hall of Heroes
All entries will be proudly displayed in our glass cabinets between sessions.
Throughout the month, the Hall of Heroes will grow as grey plastic becomes fully realized champions of war.
🎯 Completion Requirement
To be eligible for judging, your model must be fully painted and based by July 19.
Incomplete entries will not be eligible for prizes.
No gray plastic. No excuses. Finish the mission. ⚔️

Archaon or equivalent value in $175 store credit

Store credit is flexible and can be used on ANY products in-store. You are not locked into the listed model or faction, you can choose whatever you want in the store.
